Director Shadow Mihai’s West Coast Revival Production of Ntozake Shange’s Obie and Tony award winning play “For Colored Girls…” has kicked off with a bang! The fiery attitude of the 7 beautiful women will have you begging for more.
Developed in the San Francisco Bay Area this play spawned the “choreo-poem” form in theatre. This uplifting Musical performance explores the struggles of black women in 1970′s, the issues of the past are as relevant today as thirty years ago. “For Colored Girls…” essence transcends all races, genders, and it’s movements and rhythms offer a new way of interpreting life’s obstacles.
